Report a problem with a notice

Anyone can report a problem with a notice: the party named in it, the person who lodged it, or anyone else. A person reads every report. We act on written reports within seven days.

What you can report

  • A fact in a notice that is wrong, such as a date or a category.
  • A notice that names the wrong party, or a private individual rather than a building, owners corporation or business.
  • Personal information that should not be on the register.
  • A court order, or a VCAT order, that applies to a notice.
  • Anything else about a notice, or about this site.

What happens

You get a reference number on screen. The report goes into the register's complaint record and starts a seven-day review. While the review runs, the notice shows as under review. We tell you the outcome by email. We do not argue the merits of the underlying dispute, and we never charge anyone to remove, change or delay a notice.

Before the first notices are published

The register does not yet hold notices. You can still use this form about anything on this site, and we will answer within seven days.
